Now What...

Ok, so now we are all back in Canada (except for Andrew who took that hard right turn into Minnesota); what's next?

A few things do come to mind:

1.  Review is always a good idea - most of us took a number of notes in our various forms of journals - take that sober second look now that you are back in Canada.

2.  Consider some of the places and people we visited and do a little web browsing:

3.  Consider for just a bit some of the really difficult issues and then back off enough to find the one thing you might be able to do to bring something of God's Kingdom to the situation.

4.  Continue reading and watching for news items - they will pop up more times than you might think.  A scholar from Wheaton named Gary Burge has a good book titled:  Whose Land, Whose Promise.

5.  Let folks know that the next opportunity will be in 2011.  We are hoping that there will be a young adult experience in 2010 through a partner organization.

6.  Consider sponsoring a child from the Jenin area through World Vision.

Our goal was to understand something more about "Following Jesus".  Many questions are left unanswered or the answers are frankly not very appealing.  The hot and dusty desert of Judea is behind us but the call to walk is still clearly out front.  Peace-Salaam-Shalom to the Journey!
